Picart & Beer was established in 1907 through the partnership of French metal trader Léon Picart and metallurgical engineer Jean Beer.

The company grew by selling finished and semi-finished products in flat and long steel.

After Léon Picart's death, the Beer family became the main shareholder of the company.

In 1981, Francis-Stéphane Beer, son of Jean-Charles Beer, acquired 100% of the company's shares to expand the product range and geographical scope.

Thirty-five years later, due to the significant growth of the company, the three sons of Francis-Stephane Beer, Jean-Julien, Simon, and Hadrien, gradually joined the company to enhance and accelerate its development.
